Josie
Josie was born in 1984! I adopted her from the Ithaca Humane Society in January of 1998. Since then, she has lived in Trumansburg, NY, Troy, MI, Ann Arbor, MI, and Oakland, CA. She had a hard time getting used to flying on the plane, but now she is an official "Air cat." She can be cranky sometimes, but she has had a hard life. When I adopted her, I learned that her owner, an elderly woman, had died, and that the woman's daughter had tried to keep Josie, but she had two big scary dogs who didn't like Josie, so she was forced to give her up for adoption. Even to this day, Josie is scared of big dogs. She likes little dogs, though. She doesn't like to be picked up because she has arthritis in her hips, but she likes it if you scratch her chin. Don't touch her tummy though, you'll get a scratch!
